My Initial Thoughts on Libra

I think that Libra is interesting in general, but to me, it's just another way for Facebook to own you. I was just waiting for one of the big tech firms to move into the crypto space, as Google, Amazon, Facebook, Alibaba, Tencent and Apple all have the weight to invest in this area and make crypto (or some far-flung version of it) scalable at the retail level. Coincidentally, just before the news broke in June, our conversations with Mihai Alisie from the Akasha Foundation spurred me to look my privacy settings on Facebook right in the eye….
